Practicing my Cooking Skills

One of the things that I have learned in life is that nothing comes easy for me when it comes to school. In terms of studying for classes and exams, I have had to go over the same material time and time again for it to sink in. I don’t know if I have a learning disability or if that is just the way I am, but sometimes it can be frustrating.
Thankfully, I am now enrolled in a cooking school and studying is a whole different game. Instead of having to pour over books and memorize everything, I have to practice the culinary arts instead. This means that I have been entertaining a whole lot more than I usually do, and it isn’t uncommon for me to prepare gourmet meals five nights per week.
Though this practicing has had a price when it comes to the cost of food in our home, it has been a wonderful experience. It seems that I learn better hands on, and cooking is the perfect outlet for this type of learning. In fact, I am doing the best that I have ever done at school and it feels great.
Besides, learning never tasted so good.
